Halloween is an American slasher film written and directed by Rob Zombie. This film is about a 10 year old boy named Michael Meyers who returns to Haddonfield on Halloween to kill people brutally. He is from a dysfunctional family who was admitted in a mental institution after killing his step father, his sister and her boyfriend. From his childhood he had an unusual behavior of torturing and killing animals at his backyard and even killed one of his class mate named Ronnie who bullied him. He also murdered his nurse and on seeing the behavior of his son, she became very stressful and committed suicide.

After sixteen years he escapes from the imprisonment in Smiths’s Grove Sanitarium which was under the care of Dr.Sam Loomis to kill his baby sister Laurie. Dr.Sam warns the residents of Haddonfield about the outbreak of this psychiatric massacre and alerts them to get to Laurie before he does. The suspense of what is going to happen next keeps the thrill and makes the viewers to anticipate and also to be in fear as the killer comes suddenly to do his unfinished business. As it name says, it is a must watch movie on Halloween.

    American Psychological Horror Film

It is a 2005 American psychological horror film which was a remake of 1998 Japanese film “Ringu” which was directed by Hideo Nakata and its remake was directed by Gore Verbinski. This movie is the continuation of its first part in which the haunted ghost Samara Morgan continues to kill people in a dreadful manner. A high school student Jakes tries to make his girl friend Emily watch a cursed tape but Emily covers her eyes and Jakes watches the tape.

As days pass by Rachel Keller hears news that Jakes was dead in the same manner similar to that of the last Morgan’s killing. She started to investigate this case and found it to be Samara Morgan and now she has to save her son Aidan from Samara the evil ghost. The story revolves around one question: Will Rachel save her child from the most terrifying evil force? This story is a must watch on Halloween with all your friends or if you are brave enough try watching it alone in your dark room.

               Nightmare on Elm Street

This movie is a kind of series and it is the fourth part of it directed by Renny Harlin and this nightmare film is about the dream demon Freddy Krueger who resurrects from his apparent demise to kill down the remaining survivors in Elm Street. In the previous episode Freddy was buried by the parents of Kristen, Joey and Kincaid and he resurrects to take revenge on their children. The scary face of Freddy is bloody gory and his mask is considered to be one of the popular selling masks on Halloween.

Kristen has a special ability to draw others into her dreams will her special ability to her friend before her demise. Soon after Alice realizes that Freddy is taking advantage of the unknown power and killing people who know the way to defeat him. This movie has its continuation in its fifth part called the Dream Child which is also equally dreadful.

The Exorcist is an American supernatural horror film which is worldwide popular for the suspense and thrill created by the director William Friedkin. This film was based on a true story which happened in 1949 in the exorcism case of Roland Doe, a 12 year old girl who was demon possessed and her mother calls two priests who could conduct prayers and rituals to free her from the satanic bondage. In this story, the little girl named Regan is demon possessed and her outward appearance changes day by day to look even more terrific and horrible.

Grave encounters is a Canadian supernatural horror film written and directed by the Vicious Brothers is a must watch movie on Halloween. A crew of paranormal investigators lock themselves in a haunted Collingwood psychiatric hospital in search of any paranormal activities.

It is a ghost haunting reality television program and they stay awake the whole night capturing everything on cameras. They dispersed to different parts of the hospital to find any superficial things are going on and unfortunately they land up in a labyrinth maze of endless hallways and corridors. They experience a lot of nerve racking incidences and they discover that this building is more than just haunted.

They try communicating with different signs and they find out new evidence of satanic rituals and black magic. They go through many terrifying and horror incidence and one such is noticing a girl facing the corner and when she turns back, the team ran away screaming in fear as her face was so horrible and gruesome. There are many such incidences in this film which thrills the viewers to watch and it is a must watch film for the one who want to experience a pump in their adrenal glands.

Trick ‘R’ Treat is an American-Canadian horror movie which centers around the Halloween related scary stories. Director Michael Dougherty has given his best to keep his audience in panic and full of curiosity to know what is going to happen next. Actually, trick or treat is a game played by small children dressed in Halloween costume knocking on each door to get their gifts.

               Scary Halloween Ghosts

If they are not given the gifts, they start their mischievous behavior leading to total trouble and nuisance. This movie is about the one who breaks the rule of the Halloween which indeed suffers from the scary Halloween ghosts. There are certain rules to be followed on Halloween like wearing a Halloween costume, hand out treats and never blow out a Jack O’Lantern and if these rules are broken, they need to face the consequences.

This movie is all about five different stories that occur on the same block. A couple blows off the Jack O’Lantern before midnight and sees what happens; a high school principal turns out to be a serial killer, a college virgin might have met the right guy for her, a group of teens play some pranks and a hermit visited by a special trick. This movie is considered to be one of the best Halloween movies of all times.

It is a science fiction horror film which is directed by Paul W.S Anderson in three different languages German, British and French. This movie is based on the Capcom survival horror video game and has grossed a huge amount of profit. The story is all about the mighty Umbrella Corporation’s secret underground lab which has released a harmful virus accidentally into a secret facility called “The Hive” which chemically turns all living creatures including the animals into dangerous zombies.

A military unit under Alice is sent to rescue the people caught in the Hive and to stop the spread of the harmful virus to the rest of the World. As there is only few hours to do it, Alice fires some bullet to destroy the zombies and make path for the unaffected employees to get out of there. It is breath-taking and scary scene to watch the zombies urging to drink the blood of the militants. The infected animals are so ferocious and furious to watch and brutal killing of those makes the film so gory and dreadful.

                 Scary Face of the Creeper

Jeepers Creepers is a terrific horror movie which is directed by Victor Salva and takes its name from the 1938 song “Jeepers Creepers”. While driving home for college break the bickering siblings, Darry and Trish witness a mysterious person dressed in a black trench coat with a wicket hat covering his face, dumping something through a tunnel.

As Darry was curious to know about what the tunnel all about drives to the spot with Trish where he saw him dumping down the pipe. As Darry was peeping inside the tunnel, he accidentally fell into the tunnel which led him to the basement of that old church building. He found many dead bodies piled up in huge numbers and various organs of those bodies were taken by the creeper. He somehow manages to escape out of the tunnel before the creeper could return and both of them leave that spot immediately.

The creeper is an ugly creature which has the capability to regenerate its lost organs by feeding living creatures. The creeper follows the siblings and tries to get what it wants from them and at that time a crazy woman who knows about this creeper helps them to find a way to get rid of this creeper. The face of the creeper is very scary and its mask is very famous during Halloween.

Wrong turn is an American horror movie which has made everyone to panic and scream their tongue out. It was written by Alan.B.McElroy and directed by Rob Schmidt and there are many series after this movie. The story is about the cannibalistic attack on those who were trapped in the woods. Desmond Harrington, one of the famous American actors resembled as Chris Flynn character in this movie.

                   American Horror Movie

While he drives his car for a job interview in another city he finds some chemical spill on the road which blocks his route to highway. He takes an alternative route and crashes a car parked in the middle of the road due to his carelessness. There, he finds a group of new friends who have come to camp in the forest and he joins with them to find a way out from there.

They find a sinister cabin in the West Virginia woods and enter in to find some help without knowing that it is the house of an ugly looking, horrible, disgusting cannibals. These cannibals start attacking them one by one and they start finding the route to get out of the cabins, hopefully alive. The disfigured face of the cannibals is very gruesome and awful to watch and definitely a must watch movie on Halloween.

                 City of Hamunaputra

This movie is all about ancient Egyptian curse which was unleashed by an English librarian called Evelyn Carnahan who took keen interest in starting an archeological dig at the ancient city of Hamunaputra. She somehow finds the Book of the death with the help of her brother Jonathan and Rick O’Connell whom she saved from the clutches of guillotine and reads the Egyptian magic spells which awakens the dead priest named “Imhotep” who was mummified for killing Pharaoh Seti and touching his mistress Anck Su Namun.

Imhotep regenerates to get his old body by killing few explorers in Hamunaputra who had his organs in a jar and selects the English women as a sacrifice in return to get his lover back to life. Beni who was a friend of Rick suddenly starts to serve Imhotep and become his slave in helping to find his target Rick along with his boys tries to save Evelyn and succeeds in it and comes out from the city of dead. The appearance of his face on a sandstorm to destroy rick and his team is a terrifying scene to remember in this movie. The ugly beetle creatures penetrating humans body is one of the petrified scenes of the movie.
